Owner/ Director

Erica Metzen, has worked with children in many different capacities. Erica graduated from Chico State in 2009 with a degree in Liberal Studies with the intention of attending the credential program. Life changed for Erica, when she decided to pursue a career in finance. After years in the field, Erica knew that she would soon find her way back to working with children. As a mother herself to her son Paul, she knows first-hand how important it is to find the right place for your child. Erica is excited for this new adventure with her business partner Shannon as she knows both of them will help provide a wonderful center for people in the community to send their children to. 

Sandra is the lead teacher for our Fox Room. She has worked in childcare for over 12 years. She has worked alongside various teachers and mentors in several school districts with children from the ages of infancy through high school, along with children in Special Education. She continues to make positive impacts on each of her student's developmental needs and grow with each family. She loves spending time with her family and enjoying trips to Disneyland 

Katlynn was born in Grand Junction Colorado and raised in Tulelake, Northern California. She moved to Chico CA to where she attended California State University of Chico and received her degree in Sociology. She has always been passionate in helping others and trying to make an impact in others life in any way she can. Katlynns goal is to work within the foster care system and help bring happiness to those children that need it.

Daniella was born and raised in Tulelake, Norhtern California. She has always been passionate about working with children since high school. She is currently pursuing a major in Child Development and a minor in Psychology at Child State. She will be graduating in the spring of 2026. She is thrilled to be a part of such an incredible team that shares her passion for making a positive impact in the lives of children.

Cheyanne is from Rocklin CA and is currently a sophomore at California State University of Chico studying Child Development. She has been in childcare since 2021 where she 

began as a preschool age gymnastics coach. She loves working with children and helping to be a part of their academic and social learning. She is very excited to get started in her career in the classroom and watching kids grow and learn.

Dakota was born in Redding California. In Redding she began her journey in childcare when she was 15 years old. Volunteering at her church's infant and toddler rooms as well as babysitting for families. During high school she completed her Early Childhood Education units at UC Merced so she could continue her journey at a preschool. She started as an aide, then moved her way up to be the head teacher of the classroom. She plans to continue her education at California State University of Chico to pursue phychology. In Dakotas free time she enjoys crocheting gifts for friends and family. Some of her favorite things to make include stuffed animals, bags, cardigans and blankets.

 Ms. Janice is a dedicated early childhood educator with 30 years of experience in the childcare field, working with children of all ages. As a mother of two, she brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her role. For the past 10 years, she has specialized in caring for and educating infants and toddlers, a stage of development she is especially passionate about. Ms. Janice finds great joy in supporting young children as they discover new skills, achieve developmental milestones, and build confidence through exploration. She believes that hands-on, sensory-rich experiences are essential to learning and growth, embracing the idea that meaningful learning often comes with a little mess. 

 Tatiana Ramirez graduated from Chico State with a bachelor’s degree in social work, a background that helps guide her nurturing approach to early childhood education. She especially enjoys working with infants and finds great joy in keeping them safe, supporting their development, and watching them reach important early milestones. Outside of the classroom, Tatiana is recently married and is a proud cat mom to her three beloved cats, Binx, Salem, and Ivy. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with coloring books and exploring the beautiful trails of Upper Bidwell Park. 

 Chrissy has been working with children for the past six years and brings both dedication and enthusiasm to her role each day. She genuinely loves working with children and finds great joy in supporting their growth, learning, and development. Chrissy holds an associate degree in child development, which has provided her with a strong foundation in understanding the needs of young learners. She is currently pursuing a degree in speech-language pathology so she can continue expanding her ability to support children and make a meaningful difference in their lives. 

 Miss. Samantha is a Teachers Aid in the Caterpillar/Butterfly room and has been working in childcare for the past six years. Supporting young children as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them is one of her greatest passions. “I love creating a classroom environment where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn each day. Whether we are exploring through play, reading stories, creating art, or celebrating small milestones, I enjoy helping each child build confidence and develop at their own pace with patience and care.” Miss. Samantha is currently continuing her education in Early Childhood Development. 

 Miss Bania was born and raised in Inglewood, California, and moved to Chico in 2015 to study Child Development at Chico State. From a young age, she knew that working with children was something she truly loved and felt called to pursue. She is grateful for the opportunity to be part of children’s learning and growth and finds great joy in helping them feel safe, supported, and encouraged as they explore the world around them. With her bubbly personality and genuine love for children, Miss Bania brings warmth, kindness, and positive energy to the classroom each day. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, cared for, and excited to learn.
